Love Island has unveiled a stunning new villa ahead of its new Winter Series, which begins just under three weeks ago.

The expansive grounds feature a huge pool, new hideaway, treehouse, and oversized fire pit to host the drama.

However, while life in a villa looks glamorous on the TV screen, it is said that it is not the case in reality.

by daily starindicates an insider slammed the villa as “absolutely disgusting” because 14 islanders live in it.

A source told the publication:

“Runners have to clean up after everything and they say it’s absolutely disgusting.

“There are only about two toilets, and there are more than 10 islanders in them,” they added of the villa’s interior.

Insiders said one employee once had to pick up a used tampon from the floor due to lack of restroom space.

They continued: “One person told me that one time they went to their villa, there were tampons on the floor. There were used tampons all over the floor and they had to clean it.

Sources concluded that the islanders treated the toilets “like festival toilets.”

Sun Online has reached out to ITV for comment.

It wouldn’t be the first time a villa has been left neglected, as it was in 2018, when an abandoned star overran the old villa and “was infested with rats and ants.”

A housemate, who requested anonymity, said: “There are ants all over the kitchen, crawling all over the food and trailing to the bread and fruit.

“The most annoying thing is the rats. Some people don’t mind them, but others find them really scary.
