ANT McPartlin and Dec Donnelly fought back tears as they admitted they were struggling ahead of the final Saturday Night Takeaway.

The Geordie duo looked emotional as they shared a short video from behind the scenes during rehearsals for tonight’s show.

Ant and Dec will shelve ITV’s primetime entertainment show after 20 series with a two-hour extravaganza tonight.

They vowed to hold “a party to end all parties” to wrap up the final episode, but appeared in a grim mood during the preparations.

Ant said: “So rehearsals are underway for our last Saturday night takeaway.”

He asked Deku, “Are you okay?”

“It’s okay. We’ll get through it,” Deku sighed, clearly upset.

Ant added: “We’ll be fine. We’re very sad.”

Dec added: “It’s a strange day.”

Ant agreed, saying: “It’s a really weird day. It’s really weird.”

Collecting himself, Ant continued: “But it’s going to be a great show, a two-hour extravaganza.

“Have a good time. It’s 7 o’clock. See you again.”

Saturday Night Takeaway ends after 20 years on the air and packed with the best episodes

Around 32 celebrities will help say goodbye to the boys on tonight’s show, including Simon Cowell, Girls Aloud, Amanda Holden and Rylan Clarke.

And they will once again welcome back former helpers Ashley Roberts and Kirsty Gallacher to finalize the Ant vs. Dec challenge.

There will also be a mega singalong by Kaizer Chiefs, Tony Hadley and S Club.

Deku said this while teasing tonight’s finale on last week’s show. ”Next This week is the final episode of Saturday Night Takeout.

“But the good thing is news It’s a two-hour extravaganza and is basically going to be the mother of all parties.

“We are taking over everything tv set center. “

Ant added: “It’s going to be absolutely epic. There’s going to be a super singalong gig with Tony Hadley, seven clubs and Kaizer Chiefs.”
