Catherine Tyldesley quits her job after her new performance is canceled hours before the curtain rises

However, the play has been canceled “with immediate effect” and fans are devastated.

Catherine and her co-stars, including Alex James Hutton, were due to perform for five nights at the Cliffs Pavilion in Southend tonight.

Although many theatergoers had made arrangements, transportation and accommodations, the show was canceled at the 11th hour.

A spokesperson for the musical said: “Bonnie & Clyde The Musical is ending its tour in the UK and Ireland with immediate effect.

“I would like to thank the incredibly hard-working and infinitely talented cast and company for entertaining thousands of audiences across the country with this production.

“Ticket holders will be contacted shortly by their point of purchase with further information.”

One fan said: “It’s a shameful decision to do this in the middle of a tour and just hours before a show with a huge crowd.

“Just put on all the remaining shows, pay a talented cast, and call it a loss. The producers should never be allowed to lead a show or tour ever again.”

Another person wrote: “So many people so sorry to hear this and sending love and well wishes to all the cast and crew.

“I saw the original production twice in London and then re-booked it for the Leicester show. It did not disappoint. It was a great show of acting and singing and deserves more recognition. Big hugs to X.”

Another said: “You used the word ‘conclusion’ when you should have used ‘abort’.

“A disgraceful decision made just hours before a performance in Southend where people were already visiting.

“Well done to the producers for ruining a great show with a cult following that is now lost.”

Another said: ‘Sad. newsI was really looking forward to seeing the show, as I was scheduled to see it in September. ”
