DRIVERS have spoken of their fury after their automobiles had been slapped with £70 fines when a road was became a ‘disabled solely’ bay in a single day.

However motorists say they hadn’t been advised in regards to the modifications upfront – and branded the transfer ‘disgraceful’.

Denbighshire Council has now agreed to cancel the parking fines as a “goodwill gesture”.

A council spokesman mentioned: “We’re conscious some motorists have been issued penalty cost notices on Queen Road, Rhyl, for parking within the loading/disabled bays which have not too long ago been launched.

“As a goodwill gesture we might be cancelling these penalty cost notices.”

Council officers say the modifications had been launched as a part of city centre enchancment works.
