Gemma began developing “painful” back pain during a trip to Jerusalem last month and was later diagnosed with nerve palsy, but told fans she ditched junk food to lose weight.

“Not only did we have a magical time, we went to Tel Aviv and Rami and I fell in love all over again,” Gemma recalls.

“We’ve never been without love. We’re more in love than ever and really connected.”

“I did some really good things while I was there. From the natural side of things, it was incredible.

“I ate grape leaves, hummus and falafel.

“Basically, I probably weighed 7 to 10 pounds, about a stone, no kidding.

“I’m scared of getting on the scale, I hate getting on the scale.”

The Essex star said her back injury meant she couldn’t exercise, and instead set a goal to stick to a healthy eating plan.

“What I want to talk to you about is goal setting. It’s good to have a vision of what you want to be and do in life,” she explained to listeners. GC Podcast.

“I think January, February and March are the times when you definitely need to start working out and getting into fitness and losing weight.

“I am completely fed up. As you know, I have polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and hypothyroidism and am constantly battling weight.

“When I got my back down, it was like I really needed to lay off the goodies.”

Gemma said last week that she felt excruciating pain in her back and legs while on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem with her fiancé Rami Hawash.

The star invited a personal trainer, physical therapist, and spiritual healer to her home to help ease her discomfort.

Talking about post-treatment care, Gemma said: You are like a curse the pain I have experienced.

“I don’t know what happened. Whoever placed the curse on me please remove it. The moment I got back to the UK it was a hassle.”

And it seemed like all Gemma needed was one session.
