Gemma shot to fame in 2011 in the second series of ITVBe’s The Only Way Is Essex and quickly became a huge fan.

This meant that more and more people began to recognise her and she was stalked and had to give up her job at a clothing store in Brentwood.

Speaking at The Mail Everything I Know About Me PodcastGemma said: “No one will believe the bloody crap I had to deal with.

“I once had a female stalker who wore white gloves and wrote me letters trying to kill me.

“I mean, we laugh about it because we know it’s weird, but the reality is, when you’re home alone at night having a cup of tea, it wreaks havoc on your mind.”

Gemma added: “We get all kinds of people coming into the shop and they’re all quirky.

“That’s why, in a way, I ended up walking away from my store, which is why I’m a successful businessman and I built it.

“It was my baby and I couldn’t go straight to fame. It was a blessing, but I couldn’t just be the girl who sorted you out at the store.” nice Dresses and clothes.

“There are too many weird stalkers. That’s the bad side, but I don’t want to think about the bad side.”

“I always try to find the humor in the situation but certainly, if you get death threats you have to call the police at that stage.

Gemma Collins traumatized by shocking attack on her dog at home

“Thankfully, I have enough money that I can now put in a good security system.”

Baby Reindeer, which was released on Netflix last month, has been making waves in recent weeks.

The show is based on the real life story of comedian Richard Gadd, who plays the lead role of Donnie Dunn.

Gemma spoke out about being stalked in 2018.

Gemma told The Sun: “Just recently someone has been sending death threats to my shop every day. It was on a Birmingham postcode stamp so I think they live in Birmingham.”

The following year, she spotted a man lurking outside her current apartment, forcing her to buy a new home.

Earlier this week, Gemma revealed she was left traumatised after her dog was attacked at home.

GC had to rush his dog Blue to the vet after he was bitten by another dog.

The shocked star wrote: “Something very heartbreaking happened this weekend – a dog got onto my property and bit Blue.”

“I want to thank the emergency vet and @jepicpics for helping me when I was in so much pain.”

Seeking advice, Gemma wrote: “Can anyone advise what action to take if a dog comes onto your property and bites?”
