Hong Kong protesters not backing down, demand police apology


HONG KONG — Hong Kong protesters occupied the streets round authorities workplaces and police headquarters on Friday to indicate officers they weren’t backing down regardless of a sequence of concessions by Beijing-backed officers.

Their outrage over a proposed extradition invoice has now prolonged to the police’s heavy-handed response to demonstrations that has seen dozens of individuals injured.


“We’re demanding the police chief to come back down and face the individuals and to supply his and the police apology,” stated Alvin Yeung, chief of the pro-democracy liberal Civic Get together, who was amongst a crowd exterior of the police headquarters on Friday.

Demonstrations kicked-off almost two weeks in the past in opposition of a proposed extradition invoice that protesters stated would threaten the previous British colony’s semi-autonomous rule. Organizers say as many as 2 million individuals have taken to the streets.
