Police launch frantic search for missing Scottish mother who disappeared during night out


COPS has launched a frantic search for the missing woman in Falkirk, who went missing over the weekend.

Chantel Stewart, 25, was last seen on Edinburgh’s Princes Street around 11pm on Saturday night.

The mother of two was reported missing after being unable to return to her home in Falkirk.

She has not been in touch with friends or family, and there are currently growing concerns for her safety and welfare.

She is described as Caucasian, 5 feet 2 inches tall, with a slim build and long brown hair.

She was last seen wearing a black mini jacket with a black dress and black high heels.

Officers are now calling on anyone with information to come forward so they can make sure Chantelle is safe and healthy.

In a statement on Facebook, the Forth Valley Police Department said, “We are seeking the help of the public as part of our efforts to track down the woman who was reported missing.

“Chantel Stewart was last seen on Princes Street, Edinburgh on Saturday 28th January 2023 around 11pm.

“The 25-year-old from the Falkirk area has not been seen since, raising concerns about her well-being.

“Anyone who may have seen Chantelle since this time, or who has information about her whereabouts, should contact Scottish Police via 101 citing incident number 3129 of 29 January. is recommended.”

Concerned family and friends of Chantelle have accepted comments on this post to encourage others to share their complaints.

They said they were “extremely worried” about her, adding that this was “extremely out of character” for their mother.
