Three weeks after the birth of daughter Belle, Stacey Solomon cried out with relief after finally washing her hair.

The TV personality, 33, revealed on Instagram that she finally got time to clean her “greasy” hair.

She joked that she was surprised that her husband, Joe Swash, had not divorced after being separated for so long.

Stacey said: “Finally done, finally washed this mop, no grease, sweet, sweet smell.

“I’m getting emotional about it. Honestly, I feel like I have to give a speech.

She jokingly grabbed a hairbrush as a makeshift mic and said, “I want to thank my newborn baby for not crying long enough to shampoo and condition.

“I want to thank my husband who slept next to me every night and didn’t ask for a divorce.

“Thank you so much for always being by my side and for not judging me no matter how many eggs you bake on my head. It feels so good, happy beautiful hair day.

The Loose Women star joked that her sleek, high-back bun looked like Matilda’s, and then the musical’s nemesis Mrs. Trunchbull on Sunday.

Stacey revealed on Instagram that she rubbed her hair back into a style she calls “newborn freshness” after being inspired by former Love Island star Molly May Haig.

Stacey, who has Zach, 14, and Leighton, 9, from a previous relationship, said, “I was thinking of getting my hair back in a bun today because I keep seeing people do it.

“I’ve seen Molly Mae do it and she looks so beautiful. I call it newborn fresh. Now that you have a newborn, you can rake your hair up and voila! Just put it in a dumpling and it looks really pretty and natural and pulls back the whole face.

“Why does that make me look like Miss Trunchbull? Doesn’t it make me look newborn fresh like Molly?

“I’m about to push a newborn into chalk. Why doesn’t it look good on me? Is it my face? I just need to know.”
