Before his rise to stardom in one of Hollywood’s most beloved film franchises, this famous actor was best known for his impressive dance moves.
Back in the ’80s, the performer spent his youth break dancing at Columbus Circle and across town in Washington Square Park.
A video has resurfaced of the entertainer teaching others how to breakdance, and without his trademark bald head and ripped physique, he looks completely unrecognizable.
His muscles may now rival those of a professional bodybuilder, but the boy in the video is just a tall, lanky teen trying to impress his viewers by doing an upside-down worm on the floor. He was just an ager.
Can you guess who the ambitious young man with the sweatband on his head is?

It’s Vin Diesel! He is best known for his role as Dominic Toretto in the Fast and Furious series, alongside the late Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, and Tyrese Gibson.
The 56-year-old father of three has talked about his past as a breakdancer over the years on various talk shows, including an appearance on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” in 2011.
After Leno pulled out a VHS tape featuring a group of young dancers, including a baby-faced Diesel, Leno began laughing and referred to that period of his life as “the good old days.”
Four years later, Kelly Ripa and her then-co-host Michael Strahan pulled out the same old tape and asked her what it was like to be a street performer.
“That was my first live show,” he said. “Those days were good… People know that I was a bouncer, but the real reason I started being a bouncer was because I loved dancing and I was dancing for free.”
In 2021, Jimmy Fallon asked about the video and asked Diesel if he remembered making it.
“Yes, I remember doing this. It was the highlight of my life!” he thought.
Diesel made his stage debut at the age of seven, appearing in the children’s play The Dinosaur Door at the Theater for the New City in Greenwich Village.
